I'm Back!

After an almost two year hiatus I set up the train layout again today. Both cats were up on it checking it out, but they only knocked over the trains a few times during my operating session.


I also have been doodling on a new layout plan. It is similar to my existing layout but takes out some of the crazy switching in favor of a double loop. The operator stands at the bottom. The dark line at the top is a view block, probably city buildings that hides the back passing siding staging area from view. I am not sure if I want to stick with the #6 turnouts for the front crossovers, #4 turnouts would give it a little more length.
